Louis came to the United states from and little shtetl near Odessa Russia named Kupel. His cousin Neiten Gossen preceded him and landed in Galveston Texas. He wrote to his cousin Louis Susser, who was married to his sister-in-law Sarah Ploxin. “Life is good in Texas. Come with your family and we will have a good life. Sarah and Maryanne, who was born is Russia came over to meet up with Neiten and her sister Ida. They settled in San Antonio where Louis got a job with Mr. Fredrich and they started a new life.
